“We appreciate the Administration’s willingness to continue conversations with the amusement park industry before finalizing the industry’s guidance and placement within the Blueprint. California’s amusement parks voluntarily closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Since then we have sought an active partnership with the state to develop a responsible reopening plan.

“Fighting this virulent disease and responsibly reopening amusement parks to get people back to work, kickstart local economic recovery, and provide families with outdoor activity need not be mutually exclusive. We look forward to working closely with the Administration on amusement park guidance that uses science and data to promote a healthy and safe environment for our guests and employees while providing parks a pathway toward responsibly reopening within a reasonable timeframe.”
